Olympic bronze heroes to go for gold in Florida after all
The Olympic bronze medalists and all-round beach volleyball legends will be hoping to clinch a place on the podium when the Swatch Major Series opens the beach volleyball season with a bang on the Florida coast in February.
Ross revealed at the Swatch World Tour Finals in Toronto that if she did not get pregnant during the off-season then she and Walsh Jennings would continue to play during the 2017 campaign which also includes the World Championships in Vienna at the end of July.
The pair, who will now play together for a fourth successive season as a team, did not compete at the Swatch World Tour Finals in Fort Lauderdale in 2015 following an injury to Kerri at the Gstaad Major.
But last season the Americans were in sensational form, winning nine medals from 11 tournaments including five golds but could only manage a fifth-place finish at the Swatch World Tour Finals in Toronto.
It’s now less than 50 days until the big day in Fort Lauderdale and in the next month we’ll know which teams will be joining us – so stay tuned to the Swatch Major Series website for all the news!
